Dr. Paul T. Stames
Dr. Stames has been a leader of executive education at three highly respected US business schools,

Paul is an executive coach and trainer with the Center for Creative Leadership, and he has taught executive education
for universities, including UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, University of Denver, and the University of Notre Dame. He is
a faculty member of the Center for Executive Education at the the US Naval Postgraduate School.
Paul is a
dynamic speaker and educator on topics related to Strategy and Leadership, such as effective leadership performance, leading
change, strategic thinking, cross-cultural leadership, network leadership, team leadership, values-driven leadership, and
credo-centered (TM) executive leadership.
He has led and taught in executive programs in Asia, North and South
America, Europe and Africa. He has pioneered innovative, experiential executive education such as a 3-day leadership
development sailing program that combined the expertise of business school faculty and crew members from an Americas Cup challenger.
Thousands of executives have participated in highly-rated educational programs and events developed by Paul for companies
such as: Apasco, Bain & Company, Bancomext, Cisco Systems, Deacero, Sybase, Microsoft, Synopsis, British Telecom,
CA Dept. of Corporations, Kodak, CA Judicial Council, Hewlett Packard, Lucent Technologies, Nestle, the Wonderful Company,
the Chinese Securities Regulatory Commission, CMG IT Services, TAG Aviation, the US Navy, and NEC Corporation.
was also President and Founder of The Leadership Council, a national network to provide personal and professional resources
to more than 1,000 CEOs and top executives across the United States. His experience includes working with a variety
of leaders including dot.com entrepreneurs, government executives, healthcare administrators, high-tech engineers, military
leaders, clergy, university leaders, and non-profit volunteers. He received his BA degree from Duke, his MA from Yale, and
his DMin from the San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Sandy’s clients include local hospitals and national healthcare organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, the
Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Desert, Catholic Healthcare West, the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, and
the Golden Orchard Assisted Living and Shalom Park Long-Term Care facilities in Denver, Colorado.
Prior to launching
her own consulting firm, Sandy was Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Critical Care, Inc. Her development
of Critical Care, Inc. (CCI) pioneered a new industry by conceiving and creating a successful new multi-million dollar
company that provided highly qualified and dedicated supplemental registered nurses for 15 specialties of critical
care in hospitals and healthcare systems in all 50 states. CCI’s success in defining the role of interim
(traveling) nurses resulted in a pool of more than 15,000 nurses working under the supervision of CCI in over 1,000 hospitals.
For the past 10 years, Sandy Stames has provided advisory services to small and medium size businesses and healthcare organizations
in the areas of leadership, finance, marketing, strategic planning, training, workforce planning, operations management, and
CCI’s clients included national hospital systems such as Humana and National
Medical Enterprises as well as not-for-profit and research hospitals at Stanford University and UCLA. As
the leader in this field, CCI not only started the industry, but also set the standards for quality, accountability,
and continuity of professional nursing care.
Sandy has participated on numerous public advisory committees
and voluntary boards such as the Colorado Association of Healthcare, the Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, Black
Health Research Foundation, Congressional District Small Business Advisory Committee, and the Colorado Nurses Association.
Sandy is a Registered Nurse with an MBA degree from the University of Denver.
